Ministries
While we recognize and believe that all believers have committed unto themselves a dispensation of the Gospel, which they are to minister unto all men, we also recognize and believe that our Lord Jesus Christ who is the Head of the Church, calls some to the more official and public work of the ministry. “God hath set some in the church,” and He gave some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists and some pastors, and teachers; for the perfection of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ: Till we all come into unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the statue of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:11-13).
